Description

Image One

At 150 years of age, Summerlee is a pre Confederation home on a quiet park like square three blocks from strolls along the boardwalk at the waterfront and a couple of minutes from the best places to eat, shop and be entertained. The garden, private verandah and swing are perfect for quiet relaxation, reading or sipping your favourite Island wine.

Built by John Stentiford in 1860, who was a painter by trade and worked on the construction of Province House where the Fathers of Confederation met, Summerlee is a 2 bedroom home on the east side of Heart’s Content Bed and Breakfast at 236 Sydney Street. Updated throughout with a completely renovated eat in kitchen, comfortable sitting room, 2 large upstairs bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, it still has some of its Victorian character, like the original clawfoot cast iron tub, interesting antiques and quaint décor.
