I am very pleased to offer you an opportunity to enjoy the privacy of your own accommodation on the east wing of my bed and breakfast in the central heritage district of Charlottetown at a very reasonable cost.
I have been looking after visitors for nearly 20 years and am happy to give advice about what to see and do, guiding you wisely to ensure you receive the best value for your time and money. I am bilingual and can also make myself understood in German. I know enough about local history to keep you entertained – I adopted the Island as my home after living for over 20 years in the Arctic.
Summerlee is named after the street I lived in as a young lassie, daughter of a coalminer in a small coastal town east of Edinburgh, Scotland …. Heather and thistles grow in my garden and my house is a place where my heart is content.
I know yours will be too.
Returning to Summerlee after a day at the beach or a tour of the Island’s beauty spots is like coming home. Whether you cook up a favourite dish, zap a quick meal in the microwave, order in or stroll to one of the many trendy restaurants in the vicinity for supper, you will find its location and convenience ideal as the daily starting point for your Prince Edward Island Vacation.
Park in front of your own door, come and go as you please and feel safe and well cared for in a lovely historic neighbourhood where there’s music and theatre, pub food and laughter, Anne stuff and antiques… and if you have little ones, parks and places to play.
Wireless internet will keep you in touch with the world if you need it and local phone calls are free. The trolley bus passes by at the end of the block, a taxi comes in a few minutes after it’s called and a 24 hr grocery store is a five minute walk from the door.
